Hugh Michael Jackman is a multi-talented Australian performer and actor, widely known for the X-Men movies. Being a popular actor, singer, and producer, Jackman spent his most of his early life in Sydney. Unlike many actors, Hugh Jackman got his acting debut at five years acting as King Arthur in the television series Camelot. Jackman's notable roles in films revolve around superhero action movies and romance dramas shows.
Hugh Jackman attended the world renowned, University of Technology in Sydney, Australia. He graduated in the year 1991 with a degree in communications. His savings from a number of temporary jobs that he did enabled him to enroll in acting classes at the Actors Centre Australia. Although Jackman had landed a role in the popular soap opera Neighbours, he decided to hone his talent further at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts where he graduated in 1994.
Several years after graduating from the acting Academy, Jackman earned the role of Kevin Jones in the prison drama Correlli. In the TV show, Jackman played the role of an inmate who would flirt with his female psychologist, Deborra –lee Furness. Their relationship blossomed behind the scenes, and they eventually tied the knot in April 1996.
Jackman featured in many television guest roles later on. He played Gaston in the Beauty and the Beast and starred in the Australian production of Sunset Boulevard. Jackman's release of his feature film, Erskineville in 1999 garnered him a nomination for the Best Actor of the year in the Australian Film Institute awards. In 2009, Jackman starred and produced X-Men Origins: Wolverine which resulted in groundbreaking financial success.
