During the early stages of his acting career, Nicolas Cage appeared in a number of feature films including Racing with the Moon, Variety Girl, Raising Arizona, Vampire's Kiss, Wild at Heart and many others. Because of his outstanding acting performance and brilliance, Nicolas Cage is the recipient of several awards including, a Screen Actors Guild Award, a Golden Globe and an Academy Award. In the year 2002, Nicolas Cage yet again received his second Academy Award nomination for his outstanding performance as Donald and Charlie Kaufman in the feature film, Adaptation. Early Life

Born in Long Beach, California, Nicolas Cage is the son of a professor of literature, August Coppola and a professional choreographer and dancer, Joy Vogelsang. Raised in a family that followed the Catholic doctrine, Cage’s father is of Italian descent while his mother, on the other hand, is of Polish and German descent.
